As someone who’s struggled with financial insecurity, I deeply understand how worrying about making ends meet can place the things you desperately long to do — even things that could help with your emotional and physical health — out of reach.
That's exactly why I've created this scholarship program. It's supported by generous donations from our writing community as well as from my own pocket.
We're all in this together, creating a space where healing through writing is accessible to everyone, regardless of their bank account balance. When you apply for a scholarship, you're not asking for charity. You're joining a community that believes in lifting each other up, one story at a time.

Chanterelle offers two scholarship slots per retreat. When I review scholarship applications, I'm not looking for documentation of financial need — you’re on the honor system. I'm more interested in how this workshop would be meaningful in your journey right now. I'll reach out to selected participants two weeks before each workshop date.
